Good performance, Poor breakdown and horrible for travel, September 7, 2009

Before anyone purchases this stroller, I think they need to seriously consider how the stroller will be used. If you live in an urban area and always keep this stroller assembled...it would be a great stroller. If you live in a suburb, or your primary form of transportation is a vehicle, this stroller is a very poor choice. It breaks down into three pieces, and does not do so easily. There is nothing one-handed, or quick about the break down for transport. So, before you buy this stroller because it is the cool one, or the luxury one the celebs have, be honest about its limitations.

A few other Pros & Cons...

Pros
- Incredible ride & suspension
- Bassinet option allows you to use it for an infant
- Frame can be used with a Graco Carset...with the purchase of an additional adaptor
- Adjustable seat - child can be completely reclined, semi-upright or fully upright...and you can face them forward or backwards
- Adjustable handle - very important if you are taller
- Excellent break. When its on, the stroller does not move at all
- Very well-made & sturdy

Cons
- Price - for the unit & every accessory is an additional cost
- Dis-assembly...I cannot underscore this enough!! It is not easy or quick. Nor can you do it one handed. If you are trying to do so while wrangling a child, it is impossible.
- It breaks down into 3 pieces...the wheeled base, the overall seat base or bassinet, & the padded cresent-shaped bar/handle. This would make it impossible for airplane travel. Unless, of course, you purchase the $150 carrying bag.
- Fully-Assembled Size...this is a big stroller, especially when you use the bassinet
- Folded Size - it is NOT compact
- Every accessory is sold separately - even the cup holder
- Bassinet has limited use, and then requires a lot of storage space after you switch to the seat
- Shoulder straps are rather flimsy and really long. At the absolute shortest, they are huge on my 10-mo. old
- Bottom storage basket is difficult to get things in & out of, especially if you close it with the drawstring cord
- Canopy is too big for the upright seat - if you want your child to see anything, you have to have the canopy half closed
- Weight limit of 40 lbs, which is less than a lot of strollers

Once this stroller is assembled, it is a great stroller and rides incredibly well. It turns well and my son seems very comfortable in it. However, we are suburbanites and the constant break down is a PAIN! After struggling with this stroller for 10 months and cursing it each and every time I have to get it in & out of my car, I bought a smaller stroller to have in the car for quick errands & travel. The Bugaboo still gets a ton of use around our neighborhood and for bigger outings, but I make sure the breakdown is worth it.

The stroller's performance is incredible, but be sure the way you will use the stroller is in synch with its Pros and understand the limitations.

Great chair, I had a Britax marathon and changed my older to this one, im very pleased and also my kid,I wanted it to be comfortable since we travel a lot, he falls asleep right away, not pricy and safe.

Smooth, easy steering, soft seat...but has important drawbacks, November 30, 2010

Some of the reviews I read did touch upon this but I hadn't internalized it until the product arrived - it's HUGE. Be prepared to purchase a nice lightweight umbrella to add to your baby gear because this one is not easily transportable. We have 4 door sedans and this stroller pretty much takes up most of the trunk space. I also am reluctant to take with me during air travel because I am worried it would get damaged given how much money I paid for it. Also when it's folded up you can't store it vertically, so it's hard to put away in a closet. I end up storing in the garage. I agree with other reviewers that for the price you pay they should really include a cup holder. I was prepared for the lack of under carriage storage and thus was fine with it since I knew about it going in. I can hang my diaper bag easily on the handle bar so this works well for me. I also read about the short sun canopy and was prepared for that...it is pretty small and doesn't do an effective job at keeping out the sun which is a problem (again for the price paid they really should fix that ASAP). Folding it down the first time took both my husband and I. Now my hubby can do it easily himself though I haven't yet tried to do it on my own. The little window on the sun canopy is not really that helpful and the orange mesh doesn't allow you to see too well into the seat either. I find the brakes are not that easy to turn on/off, you have to push pretty hard. Also overall this is a heavy stroller which i guess is to be expected, but again makes it hard for me to lug around solo.

Ultimately what i bought this stroller for was the smooth ride and easy maneuverability - and on those two points this stroller does not disappoint. It's an incredibly smooth ride, the seat is soft and comfortable, I like the recline positions and the number of recline options (my daughter, a finicky sleeper, surprisingly slept in it). This is a great stroller if you live in a city or near a downtown or an area you walk a lot without driving. Overall i do like it and since the resale value for a quinny in good condition is decent, i think this purchase makes sense, if i can't resell it and recoup some cost, then I think i'll be a bit disappointed i paid so much and had to get another more practical stroller.

I bought this while I was still pregnant. I heard good things about it, but really didn't have much knowledge around strollers. Now that I have a 6 month old and several new mommy friends, I can tell you that I absolutely wouldn't buy this stroller!

Pros:
1. Big wheels- we live in an urban area and wanted to be sure that we could navigate through the city parks and sidewalks.
2. Seat that sits forwards, backwards, and reclines in a few positions. It was nice while he was tiny and as he grows. He loves facing out, but when he falls asleep I can easily tilt him back to be fully reclined.
3. The memory foam seat. I wanted our kid to be comfy.
4. The telescopic handle for my tall husband.
5. the "auto" erect feature. When you flick over the clasp, the stroller 'pops' open.... most of the time!

PS. The uppa baby stroller has all of these same perks, plus none of the cons.

Cons:
1. Pathetic sun canopy. Doesn't really cover babies face. Had to buy an after-market shade and it's a pain.
2. The storage at the bottom of the stroller is useless. It's more like a shelf than a basket.
3. It's difficult to open and close. It's very stiff, even 6 months later.
4. The brakes do not work on hills!!
5. You can only use one brand of car seat- MaxiCosi. This car seat is a complete piece of junk. It was recalled TWICE in the last TWO years.

PS. The uppa baby stroller has all of these same perks, plus none of the cons.
For $600 you can either buy this stroller or the UppaBaby! I highly recommend choosing something else. Even the BOB is better.

Just got my first stroller ever for my 7 month old daughter. I was holding out for a Bugaboo, but I have to say this is pretty close, and it's not as expensive. It's a bit big, but it folds down in seconds with two hands and pops back up with one hand. The size isn't even an issue, because if it were, I would have bought an umbrella stroller. Everything on it comes apart easily, but it is extremely sturdy. It's whisper quiet, you can push it with one finger and it turns so smoothly. I can switch the seat to face me or face out depending on my daughter's mood, and it takes two seconds to switch it (while she's not in it, of course). I fought having a stroller for so long, but now that I have this one it makes everything so much easier. Other perks are the handle height is adjustable, there's a basket underneath for whatever and I put it together out of the box without any tools in under 15 minutes. I would recommend this to anyone who is in the market for a higher end stroller.

I've had this stroller for about 6 months and while I get compliments everywhere I go, I am really upset its not as functional as it should be.
First, the basket is tiny. The seat is so low that it makes access to the basket very difficult. The biggest issue though are the front wheels. They lock every time you ride on uneven pavement. It may not seem like a big deal, but I had to stop about 6 times in a two block walk to unlock the wheels. Don't waste your good money on this stroller.

Mamas and Papas was gone from the country for a few years and I am super glad that they are back. The Urbo is one of the three strollers available now, and my fave.

Little details made me love this stroller. Immediately, I noticed that the grip on the handle is LEATHER. Not that foam stuff that eventually rips and gets all cruddy. It feels great when you push the stroller and is nice and cushy.

This is a full-sized stroller, but it does not weigh a ton. It is not lightweight by any means, but it is very manageable. The basket is also super accessible, if not huge.

I love the European styling - you can flip the seat to face you or have it face forward, and you can use a Graco car seat (or Maxi Cosi, I think) for those baby days. They also have an optional bassinet for this stroller if you want to go that route.

Most importantly to me was the fact that I didn't have to be shown how to collapse the stroller. I figured out how to turn the seat, recline the seat, and collapse the stroller, on my own - all in about five minutes. It is extremely simple.

I think this is a great stroller to use for every-day, especially in urban areas (hence the name?). It also pushes like a dream - one of the only four wheel strollers that pushes like a three-wheeler, in my opinion.

We have been using this stroller with infant seat for about 6 months now and the infant seat can barely click into the stroller anymore. The infant seat is VERY heavy and my baby only weighs 13 pounds! The infant seat does not fit into shopping carts either. The wheels do not turn very easily and we are constantly getting stuck while trying to push the stroller forward. I would not recommend this stroller.

I ordered this bag because I loved the pattern of the fabric. It has lots of room inside and many pockets to keep things organized. I also like that the straps do not fall down off your shoulder and its very easy to wear. However, after using it for a few weeks the straps started falling off. I had to hand sew them back on and went ahead and reinforced the other straps as well.
